Knol, czyli “unit for knowledge” – takÄ… nazwÄ™ nosi nowy projekt amerykaÅ„skiego giganta internetowego Google. PrzedsiÄ™wziÄ™cie amerykaÅ„skiej firmy bÄ™dzie portalem analogicznym do Wikipedii.
Podobnie jak w przypadku najpopularniejszej niekomercyjnej strony świata, wszystkie hasła będą generowane przez użytkowników. W tym celu wykorzystane zostaną narzędzia opracowane przez Google służące do szybkiej edycji artykułów. Główną różnicą jednak będzie obecność pełnych profili autorów haseł, dzięki czemu staną się oni mniej anonimowi, niż na Wikipedii.
