Program ten ma byc przygotowaniem do wprowadzenia Google Calendar na domenie GCalendar.com. Domena ta jest zarejestrowana na Data Docket – firmę, która już wcze¶niej “przechowywała” domeny należ±ce do Google, do czasu, gdy oryginalny nabywca kończył prace nad swoim produktem i był gotowy do startu.

W ten sposób Google mógł po czę¶ci w tajemnicy przygotowywać produkt do publikacji. Przykładem tutaj może być historia domeny serwisu Google Earth, któr± Data Docket przekazał Google na kilka tygodni przed oficjaln± premier±.
